Who we are
This website is operated by Markham Consulting (“Markham”, “we”, “us”). Markham is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to enquiries@markham.consulting, which is the fastest route to the person responsible for it.
What we collect, and why
Consultation requests. When you submit the consultation form we collect the details you provide: name, company, role, email address, phone number (if given), company size, and the description of your situation. We use this solely to respond to your request, prepare for a consultation, and maintain a record of our correspondence. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you initiate.
Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as it is relevant to the relationship.
Analytics. We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build individual profiles of visitors.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing. We do not enrich, profile or score enquiries with data you did not give us, beyond looking at publicly available information about your company in preparing a response.
Processors we rely on
Your data is handled by a small set of service providers acting on our instructions: our hosting provider (site delivery), our email provider (correspondence), and our customer-relationship system (storing enquiry records). Each is bound by its own data-processing terms.
Retention
Consultation enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to 24 months and then deleted. Records connected to client engagements are retained as required by our contractual and legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Write to enquiries@markham.consulting and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a revised date. Substantive changes are noted, not silently overwritten.
